“Zvezda” Shipbuilding Complex” Limited Liability Company was established on December 17, 2015.

“Zvezda” Shipbuilding Complex is a project of strategic importance for the Far Eastern region and the domestic shipbuilding industry, that is implemented under the authority of the Russian President, the Government of the Russian Federation and the Consortium of JSC Rosneftegaz, Rosneft and Gazprombank. The construction of the complex was started in 2009. The ceremonial start-up of the new shipyard production took place on September 1, 2016 in the presence of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the President of Russia.

The largest shipbuilding complex in the country is being created in the Bay of Bolshoy Kamen, Primorsky Krai.

The project of SSС "Zvezda" construction is implemented in several stages. The production activity has been started at the objects of the first stage, among them are the hull production shop, the painting shop and the outfitting slipway for the production of medium range vessels and offshore facilities. The second stage provides for the commissioning of a dry dock and full-cycle production facilities for the fabrication of large range vessels and offshore facilities. Later on, a commissioning of the production facilities for the construction of offshore facilities is planned. The step-by-step commissioning of the entire complex of SSC "Zvezda" will be completed by the end of 2024.

“Zvezda” is the first Russian shipyard of large range shipbuilding which is capable to meet the needs of the Russian customers for the construction of off-shore facilities to ensure the production of natural resources on the continental shelf of the country, including drilling rigs that are designed for year-round work in Arctic, as well as commercial vessels for transporting goods by internal and external sea routes, Aframax and Suezmax tankers operating on gas fuel and meeting all the latest environmental standards.

Pilot loading of the complex is provided by PJSC "NK “Rosneft", which concluded an exclusive agreement to place all orders for the construction of modern off-shore facilities and vessels at the shipyard, as well as contracts for design, construction and delivery of icebreaking multifunctional supply vessels.

The shipbuilding complex "Zvezda" is a young, fast developing, high-potential enterprise with the modern unique domestic and foreign equipment and based, at the same time, on many years of experience of shipbuilders from all Russia and the world. These factors allow us to create an equation for success, to fulfill the main task, that is to increase radically the Russian component in the process of building of modern vessels and off-shore facilities.
